confession definitely came up after i read about mel gibson and his apologies and how fool he is blah blah (add Tiger Woods to that!)... celebrity status! a fool for a day and twice as fool for a life time! rest came as a result of chain of web browsing through webster online.

lets talk about the hidden part of that day, the things those i heard but never i discern which part was true?
that day when the plain taked off, another one (bomber one from iran) after 10min taked off, and the airbus was the carier (the airbus at the above) the plan was this, in the navy,in the monitor detecting when they see one point(just one point for both of the aircrafts) with the both allegory of bomber and the airliner,they never shoot cause they never risk to shoot the airliner ,then we pass the territory of the navy, after this (using people as a buffer) we can bombarment the chosen points of enemy
in the navy , after detection of the singel signal with both bode of a bomber and a normal airliner captain dicide to shoot the plain,(this is the atrocious u mentioned) and after this , both airliner and the bomber in the aim ,brusted
im really agree with your beliefs about those innocent passengers ,but both of captain and the iranian strategist were felon,the one who shoot them and the one who chose them as his buffer
nowadays in gazah, its extend by hamas, using innocent peopel as the hamas buffer

i am not sure where did you get the information. i don't see it possible for the following reasons:
1- there are no confirmed report by either sides of such. the plane was shoot at, based on the "so claimed" false information. they read the data as a Ifghter Plane (F-14 if i am right) and not a commerial aircraft;
2- rogers had been criticised before the incident by his ranks for over-agrression;
3- the incident had been invistigated by independent intenrational auditors. never had they mentioned that they were suspicious of such maneuver by Iranians, which lead to the shooting down and the crime.
no matter how we feel about iranian authorities, i cannot imagine they are that stupid to use human shield for their purposes. they had easier means for confrontation. they had air-sea missiles for low altitudes; they had silkworm missiles, which could hit anytarget within strait of hormoz lenght. i just don't believe in such rumors. it would be good if we start practicing use of the facts rather than myth.
Rogers is a murderer and if i could, i would have seen him be trialed for mass murder.
