something had change forever in Iran

it was a desperate and depressing moment during the time when news networks were announcing election results. especially Al Jazeerah news that from 12 a.m. announced that Ahmadinejad had won the election where only 20% of the votes had been counted. i could kill the news anchor! it was very off-putting.

following 3-4 days after election, was the days of disbelief and despair and hopelessness for me an disbelieve for so many people. and then the hopes that had been dashed.
the thought of having him for another four years in the office was just unbearable. but it was a great answer to a question that i had for so many years and the answer was only to experience the answer and be part of it.

i had been always thinking how would people react if there's an unrest? i was looking at 18 tir and it was not promising. it was only students and few of the mob and the crack down on them was brutal and we all know what happened. the tortures, Ahmad Batebi's case, following by Akbar Ganji's hunger strike, etc.

so i thougt to myslef that there's no way that people would voice out. even though i saw the sea of people in pre-election campaigns. i was thinking to myslef that there's no way people would come out if there's gun on the other side. but i was way too wrong. i was caught by surprise and what a nice surprise it was. ythe unity people showed set an example forever.

the green movement continued to grow. the unity made it stronger and we reached to a point now, that it is impossible to stop it. i beoieve the harshest of crack downs would not stop it. it feels just right. the significance of the movement is for scientists to study and analyse.

what makes this movement separate from all other events in world in near past or farther past is that it is not a revolution by any means. there's had not been call for regime change in bulk of the people. i guess those who think it is a velvet revolution are suffering sever illusion.

demands are for the truth to be told. for the killers to be prosecuted and brought to justice.
for the true winner to be announced.
of course if it is needed for administration to change, so be it. it should change.

people showed for the first time in long time that unity needs a common subject and not a common person.
people made Karroubi and Mousavi leaders. i doubt it if peoplewouldn't voice their dispappointment, they would have gone this far!

howmuchever this movement is strong, it can also go astray. it takes a small complacency to have it destroyed. we are entering a phase that a leader is necessary. a leader who knows how to plan, hw to curb the communication vaccuum. how to organise the people. how to manage the demand of people and to keep them in a realistic. we need to have our feet on the ground and look clearly.

all in all, it was a great showcase on how mature Iranians are.
another significant outcome of these events was that the opposition outside Iran were put to test and the failed. they couldn't and didn't want to put their differences with us down for a single day, for few hours and joinn us. they wanted to be outstanding and so i have to say that they will stand out forever. they show that prejudice is still there and they still prefer the emblem over poeple, their unity and their identity. they failed to put their lion and sun flags down for a day. they failed to put that flag with maryam rajavi's face on down for few hours. rajavis, the murderers who are enjoying the best life in europe, yet those innocent people in Ashraf camp had suffered dearly.

they showed that they don't belong to this ground and to us. they want to be outsiders, so be it.
